I was born and raised in Southern Humboldt and am a fifth-generation resident of this community. My family has operated our local cattle ranch since 1945, and that legacy has shaped my understanding of responsibility, hard work, and long-term stewardship of the land.
After graduating from South Fork High School in 2003, I attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where I studied agriculture and viticulture. I built a strong background in vineyards and agricultural operations, gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of farming, land management, and the realities of managing property.
Over the years, I have lived and traveled in many places, but Southern Humboldt remains unmatched in its natural beauty and strong sense of community.
In 2023, I returned home to support my family during a difficult time, taking on the role of caretaker. That experience deepened my connection to this community and reinforced the importance of being present, dependable, and rooted in the place you call home. It also renewed my appreciation for Southern Humboldt and everything it represents.
I believe in working locally, supporting local businesses, and reinvesting in the community that has supported me and my family for generations.
