Born and raised in Southern Humboldt, Somer brings deep local knowledge and a genuine love for her community to every real estate relationship. After graduating from South Fork High School in Miranda, she went on to earn a degree in counseling and psychology from Santa Rosa Junior College—training that continues to shape her thoughtful, client-centered approach.
Before entering real estate, Somer owned and operated a wedding planning business, where she developed strong organizational skills and a talent for guiding people through meaningful life transitions. She later earned her real estate license and joined her father, Brian Elie, former broker/owner of Madrone Realty. Her passion for the industry grew quickly, and in 2021 she purchased the business, proudly continuing her family’s legacy of service and integrity.
Somer is an active member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and Humboldt Association of Realtors. Since 2018, she has served as the Southern Humboldt Representative on the Humboldt Association of Realtors Board. Beyond real estate, Somer is deeply committed to her community—serving on the Sanctuary Forest Lands Committee and as a board member for the Redwoods Rural Health Center.
Known for her calm presence, problem-solving mindset, and dedication to ongoing education, Somer thrives in challenging situations and advocates fiercely for her clients. She is committed to delivering knowledgeable guidance, clear communication, and unwavering support throughout every transaction.
Outside of work, Somer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and exploring the natural beauty of Humboldt County. You’ll often find her and her family participating in local events, including the Avenue of the Giants Marathon, Summer Arts Festival, and beloved community holiday celebrations.
